Well, I went ahead and tried this out after reading about it at another forum. All parts were approx $35. The lip is actually a garage door seal and it’s pretty easy to work with. I placed outdoor two-sided tape in strategic spots under the bumper and then screwed the lip in place with about 9 screws up front and 4 in the rear. I used screws that had washers already installed on them which holds the lip in place quite well. Anyways here are some pics (sorry for the blur, my iPhone camera lens is scratched up):
