Engineered to perform where others have failed, Racingline Strut bars are engineered to be both classic in style and functional in design.

Price: $99.99

Designed to be a simple bolt on product, the Racingline strut tower bar connects the strut towers to provide for a more rigid chassis that rewards the driver with greater steering feedback and response. Along with the improved steering feel, better cornering ability and stability are also realized. Allowing the driver to more confidently control the vehicle during cornering maneuvers.

Ample space around the intake manifold is enough to accommodate popular IM spacer kits.

Internally the bar is divided into 3 chambers with 2 vertical walls to aid in rigidity, while maintaining the light properties aluminum is known for. Available in a high luster polish or semi gloss black.

Will fit both 3.0L and 3.5L equipped models.

Notes:

  • Calipers bolt on but not the Maxima/z rotors. All the white ups I found required machining it the rotors 3mm to fit under the brackets. I wanted a solution that I could get off the shelf parts so any repairs could be done quickly. I needed to build a ring to center the rotor on the hub.
  • Added another caliper bracket bolt washer between the knuckle and bracket to center over the rotor.  I’ve got it together and driving.
  • There’s a very minor rubbing once things get hot. Pretty sure I know where so I’m about to take things apart again.

What motivated you to MOD your Maxima?

A close friend of mine modded a couple of Maxima’s while I was growing up as a kid. I always said that my next car would for sure be a 3.5 Maxima. I ended up getting a 3.0 Maxima 5-Speed. As the years went by, I learned how to work on it myself and also began experimenting. It ended up going a little more than I expected lol. I have put a lot into this car.

It’s still going more than I expected. I have a full Vortech Supercharger kit waiting to be installed in the spring time! – David Colaire
