• The race vehicle uses an electric supercharger to supplement the heavily modified drivetrain that comprises an E85-powered 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor for a combined output of 440HP. According to the company, the Hot Rod Hybrid hits the quarter mile 12.9 seconds at an estimated 109.2 mph or 175km/h.
•  The Braille Battery Nissan Altima Hybrid is constructed with great attention to detail. No environmentally conscious element on this vehicle is left unturned, even the race seats are a new product from Sparco containing recycled materials.. To help the car be competitive on the racetrack, the internal combustion engine is tuned to run on E85 as well as regular pump gas!,all while being boosted by a Vortech electric supercharger!
• Car can be daily driven, or used for competition events. This car was driven in a few racing events, but was maintained and cared for to a level much higher standard than your traditional Altima Hybrid. The mileage is mostly highway miles between show / promotional events.
• This is the original chassis for Official Nissan Factory “Launch Vehicle” that debuted the Nissan Altima Hybrid to North America, tested by countless magazines.
• Official Factory Nissan Supported project by Braille Battery for the 2008 LA Auto and SEMA Shows. Note: the car was owned by the founder of Braille Battery, the manufacture for battery technology for IndyCar, F1 and NASCAR.
• Built in conjunction with world leading industry partners and became part of a Globally Marketing program for Hybrid Technology at Universal Technical Institute (UTI).
